Kyle Sanborn
Owner, WCA, Instructor
Kyle Sanborn is a licensed Wildlife Control Agent in North Carolina with over a decade of experience in hunting, trapping, and wildlife management across several states.
His passion for the outdoors began in childhood, sparked by family camping trips in the western mountains and strengthened through his time in the Boy Scouts on the East Coast. As an adult, his passion evolved into a full-time lifestyle of hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, and camping. Alongside his love for the wilderness, Kyle has a deep respect for wildlife and conservation, striving to maintain a balanced relationship between humans and nature.
Determined to turn his passion into a livelihood, Kyle shifted his focus from training in rescue operations and his career position as a Driver Operator / EMT to working 100% in the outdoors. Using his background as a Firefighter and EMT, Kyle combined his love for the outdoors with hands-on rescue experience. His pursuit of advanced survival skills led him to The Pathfinder School, where he became a Black Hat instructor in 2023, teaching Ropes and Rigging, Wilderness First Aid, and other essential survival skills. As a certified Red Cross instructor in First Aid, CPR/AED, and Wilderness First Aid, he remains committed to helping others stay safe and prepared in any environment.
What started as a few local landowners seeking Kyle’s expertise in snake removal, beaver management, and predator control has grown into Fluent Frontier LLC—a business committed to helping others navigate the outdoors with confidence, manage wildlife challenges, and embrace self-sufficiency with ease. Through Fluent Frontier, Kyle also teaches a variety of hands-on courses, including Reading the Land: Tracks & Trails, Beekeeping for Beginners, Campfire Craftsmanship, Predator Prevention, Camping Comfortably, and Knotwork & Ropecraft.
Fluent Frontier LLC is a family-owned and operated business, with Kyle and his wife, Brittany Sanborn, working together both in the field and at home.
Kyle takes the lead in hands-on education and wildlife management, while Brittany keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes—overseeing marketing, web design, advertising, and administration. She’s also deeply involved in their homestead, working alongside Kyle to raise livestock and maintain a sustainable garden, reinforcing their commitment to self-sufficiency and conservation.

His passion for wildlife goes beyond conservation—he prioritizes ethical and responsible stewardship, using humane trapping and relocation methods while educating others on coexisting with nature. Whether in the field, the classroom, or at home, Kyle’s mission remains the same: helping others build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection to the natural world while ensuring its preservation for future generations.
“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” – Genesis 1:2
