Thank you for your interest in becoming an instructor for Fluent Frontier Fellowship 2027! Our instructors are the heart of this event, and we’re incredibly thankful for those willing to share their knowledge, experience, and passion for self-reliance, outdoor skills, crafts, and traditional living with the next generation.

Please complete the application form below. Once your submission has been reviewed, we’ll contact you with additional information regarding scheduling, event details, and instructor accommodations.

Instructor Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older, or have parental consent.

  • Must have prior teaching experience or receive approval from Fluent Frontier Fellowship Team.

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee instructor placement.

Please Note:
Fluent Frontier Fellowship is an outdoor event held rain or shine. If you have any physical limitations, accessibility needs, or restrictions, please include them within your application so we can best accommodate you.

When not actively teaching, instructors are encouraged to enjoy the fellowship, classes, demonstrations, music, and community throughout the weekend.

Important:
Failure to appear for a scheduled class without prior communication regarding an emergency may result in disqualification from future instructor opportunities… students are counting on you!

This application is intended for one instructor only unless otherwise discussed with Brittany Sanborn. Any additional guests, assistants, or family members must purchase tickets separately or complete their own applications if participating in the event.

What do you plan to teach?
Please explain what the title is of what you're teaching. This will be shown on our schedule and promotional materials. Catchy names are fun, but make sure the student understands from the name what the class is about. List as many as you'd like to teach - but be prepared to teach how many you list.

Understand that time requests are limited to availability at time of request and requirements.
How long do you expect your class(es) to run? Please be as accurate as possible to prevent scheduling conflicts and overlapping classes. Leave room for Q&A after the actual class time.
Is there a limit to the amount of participants for your class(es)? Keep in mind, there will be walk ups that are willing to just observe.
(Do you have special setup needs? (extra space for large demos, power, TV/Projection, water access, outside, inside, trash, etc.)

Camping/Lodging Details
Camp bunkhouse lodging is an additional expense. A separate invoice will be sent for payment.
By signing this form, I acknowledge that the following applies to myself and/or any minor child or dependent accompanying me: I am voluntarily attending Fluent Frontier Fellowship and understand that participation in outdoor activities, demonstrations, workshops, camping, classes, and related event activities involves inherent risks. I understand that while attending this event and being present on event property, I do so at my own risk. I accept full responsibility for my own safety, wellbeing, actions, and personal property, as well as the safety and supervision of any minor accompanying me. I agree not to hold Fluent Frontier LLC, Fluent Frontier Fellowship, the property owners, instructors, volunteers, sponsors, staff, vendors, event coordinators, or anyone associated with the organization and operation of this event liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, accident, theft, death, or harm that may occur to myself, my family members, guests, or property while attending the event. I understand that outdoor environments contain natural and man-made hazards including, but not limited to: uneven terrain, water hazards, wildlife, insects, weather conditions, campfires, tools, demonstrations, sharp objects, falling limbs, and physical activities. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to assess my surroundings, act responsibly, and exercise caution throughout the event. I understand that Fluent Frontier Fellowship is an outdoor event held rain or shine. I am responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, shelter, equipment, hydration, food, and supplies necessary for my comfort and safety. Photography & Video Release: I grant Fluent Frontier LLC, Fluent Frontier Fellowship, and its representatives permission to photograph and/or record video of me and any accompanying minors during the event. I authorize the use of these images and recordings for lawful promotional purposes including social media, advertising, websites, print materials, and future event marketing without compensation or prior approval. Camping & Site Safety: I understand that camping and outdoor participation carry additional risks. I agree to use caution when selecting campsites and to be mindful of potential hazards including dead trees or limbs, insects, wildlife, uneven terrain, flooding areas, fire hazards, poison ivy, and other natural dangers. Water Safety: I understand that streams, ponds, lakes, and other bodies of water may be present on the property and may create additional hazards. I acknowledge that participation in water-related activities is entirely at my own risk. Food, Water & Hygiene: I understand the importance of proper hygiene and food safety practices while attending the event. I acknowledge that untreated water sources may contain contaminants or microorganisms and understand that I am responsible for my own food and water safety. Wildlife & Natural Areas: I understand that wildlife on the property is undomesticated and may be dangerous. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with encountering wildlife, insects, livestock, or natural hazards while attending the event. Weapons & Safety Equipment: Firearms are not permitted in camp areas, common gathering spaces, or instructional areas unless otherwise authorized by event staff. Any bows, slingshots, atlatls, fishing spears, or similar projectile devices must remain unloaded except in designated demonstration or shooting areas. Fireworks, explosives, or dangerous devices are prohibited. Vehicles & Parking: Vehicles must remain in designated parking or driving areas unless otherwise instructed by event staff. Quiet Hours: Please be respectful of fellow attendees. Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Trash & Property Respect: Attendees are expected to properly dispose of trash, respect the property, and leave campsites and common areas clean. Illegal Drugs, Smoking, & Alcohol: Illegal Drugs and alcohol are not allowed at this event. Smoking on in designated areas I understand that failure to follow event rules, staff instructions, or safety guidelines may result in removal from the event without refund and possible restriction from attending future Fluent Frontier Fellowship events.
